About this policy

Burrow Allied Health (ABN to come) is an allied health practice that works by video call across Australia. This page explains what information we collect, why, where it is kept and how you can see or correct it.

Questions about privacy go to hello@burrowhealth.com.au or 1300 143 504. You can ask a question without giving your name.

Information we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email, phone if you give it, your message and how you want us to reply.
  • Register your interest form: your name, email and the service you are interested in.
  • Coming soon list: your name, email, phone if you give it, the services you picked and who the care is for.
  • Referral form: run by Splose, our practice software. What a referrer enters goes to Splose, not through our website.
  • Referrals by email or HealthLink: these arrive in our Microsoft 365 mailbox and we move them into Splose.
  • Bookings and care: the details you give when you book, and the clinical notes your clinician writes. Booking on our site passes only the service, date and time to Splose.

We ask for health information only through Splose. Please do not put health details in the contact form.

If someone refers you, we get your details from them. We tell you this when we first contact you.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to you and arrange care.
  • To email you when bookings open and as each service you picked opens. You can unsubscribe any time.
  • To deliver sessions and keep clinical records.
  • To report back to the person who referred you, where you agree.
  • To claim or invoice funding where you ask us to.
  • To run the practice, including appointment reminders and receipts.

Where it is kept

  • This website is hosted by Vercel in Sydney, Australia.
  • Contact, register-interest and coming soon messages are emailed to hello@burrowhealth.com.au, our Microsoft 365 email, and kept there.
  • Clinical records, bookings and referrals are stored in Splose.
  • We use your IP address briefly to block spam on our forms. We do not keep it.
  • We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

  • The GP, support coordinator or other health professional who referred you, with your agreement.
  • Your plan manager or the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), if you use NDIS funding.
  • Services Australia for Medicare or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), if you claim through them.
  • Your private health fund, if you claim through it.
  • Vercel, Microsoft, Splose and our video platform, only so they can store or carry the information for us.
  • Where the law requires or allows it, such as in an emergency.

Overseas

Our website is hosted in Australia. We are confirming where Splose and Microsoft store information and will list the countries here. If we add a tool that stores information overseas, we will say so on this page first.

How long we keep it

We keep clinical records for as long as health records laws require. We are confirming the exact periods, including for children, and will list them here. We delete contact messages once they are dealt with. We delete the coming soon list once every service you picked has opened, or sooner if you ask.

Cookies, analytics and chat

This website does not track you. It has no analytics, no tracking cookies and no chat box. Our host keeps basic server logs, which are records of visits. Forms embedded from Splose may set their own cookies. If we add any of these tools, we will update this page first.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you at any time. Email hello@burrowhealth.com.au. We check it is you first. We reply within one business day. There is no charge to correct your information. If we cannot do what you ask, we tell you why in writing.

Privacy complaints

If you are not happy with how we handle your information, tell us first through our complaints page. You can also complain to the privacy regulator, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). The OAIC usually asks you to contact us first.

Laws we follow

We follow the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We also follow state and territory health records laws.
